Create a gravel garden

If your garden is highly exposed to summer heat, consider the garden on gravel, much less greedy in water.

 

Weed the area that will host the gravel garden:

 

For small areas, weeding can be done carefully by hand.

 

For larger areas, Fernandes Jardins lays woven plastic sheeting.

 

The weaving of the plastic allows the passage of water and air.

 

The soil can thus continue to live, unlike solarization where it is a thermal “mini disinfection” of the soil.

 

This cover must be firmly attached to the sides and must remain in place for a minimum of three months.

The ideal time to set it up is early spring.
